Finished up dad’s retirement dinner, and drove through the “neighborhood mommy grew up in.”

I made the kids turn the Kindle off and listen to me tell who lived where, and then wrapped it up with a story about how I had to drive over the railroad tracks outside the subdivision to get the heat in my car to turn on in the winter.

The kids’ response?

“Cool. So, can we turn the Kindle back on now?”
